Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor and activist. After emigrating to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her career began as an actor for children. She came to prominence for her roles in AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and , since then, until in 2020. She also was a regular series regular on Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). She also played the role of a regular character in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub has also been voiced as Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being selected to play the character in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors. Vayntrub, was a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and her left antisemitism at the age of two. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to her family's financial problems the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, but she dropped out of the school after her sophomore year, earned an GED and went to complete an Associate of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. Vayntrub studied improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
